33 unit kinds — the basis of your line’s twin

A unit kind is a mechanism, axes, joint groups and an example program. A line unit starts from a kind, and the numbers of your machine are set at the instance.

Library contents Four groups of kinds: machines — 9, robots and tooling — 5, cell equipment — 4, automation units in schematic form — 15; each kind has a mechanism, axes and an example program. Machines9 Robots, tooling5 Tooling4 Automation units15
What is in each kind

A kind is data, not code

  • MechanismLinks, joints, limits — an open mechanism description.
  • Groups and posesJoint groups and named poses — for kinds with axes.
  • Axis limitsTravels and speeds; the example program takes its numbers from them.
  • Example programST or SFC for automation units; G-code for machines.

The mesh licence is given on each card. A schematic kind is a unit template without meshes.
